Rebecca Mark

Rebecca Mark is a professor of American Literature at Tulane University. She has published two books, The Dragon’s Blood: Feminist Intertextuality in Eudora Welty’s Fiction (1994) and Ersatz America: Hidden Traces, Graphic Texts and the Mending of Democracy (2014)Professor Mark is presently completing both Owl Eyes, a book of original graphic inscriptions, and a second book on Eudora Welty. She received the Public Humanities Achievement Award from the Mississippi Humanities Council for directing the civil rights conference Unsettling Memories (2004), was just named the Suzanne and Stephen Weiss Presidential Fellow at Tulane University for her distinctive contributions to undergraduate teaching, and is currently the founding director of the Center for Academic Equity.
