Meryl Zimmerman was born and raised on Long Island, New York. In 2012, she moved to New Orleans and served for two years as the religious school director at Shir Chadash, where she currently leads Family Shabbat services. She has been teaching the Music Together early childhood music program since 2005; first in NYC and now at Lafargue Pianos in Metairie. She is the music specialist at multiple nursery schools including the Uptown JCC, where she is a proud third-generation employee!
