Mindfulness is the act of drawing awareness to thoughts, feelings, and/or bodily sensations happening from moment to moment. Children can be taught to be mindful, which has many benefits: it promotes self-awareness and concentration and reduces staff. JFS staff will lead a hands-on activity with young children on mindfulness, which will include reading "Moody Cow Meditates" (by Kerry Lee Macleen), making mini-mind jars, and teaching breathing techniques to help promote being present, focused, and calm with activities from
mindyeti.com. Limit 10 children.
Ages 4-8.
