Taking a lesson from the beautiful Sha'ar Zahav prayer book, which features many "new" blessings for modern Jewish life, we will be looking in this session at the role of prayer and blessing in Jewish history. We will talk about what it means to queer a Jewish prayer experience and where there is permission to adapt our ritual experience. And finally, we will spend time reading, sharing, and even writing the blessings we have been missing in our Jewish lives.
